I recently purchased two items from Shoedazzle in preparation
for the fall season. Before I get started I would like to make a few observations
about the company. When I first joined
during the Kim Kardashian era (she was their head fashion editor) the items
were divers and priced around $39.99.
While they did offer clothes that were questionable in size and style, the
shoes, handbags and jewelry were what drew me to the site. Now under the reign of Rachel Zoƫ the prices
are much, much higher. Does the higher
price mean better quality?? I am still on
the fences about that. To me the jewelry
and handbags are not as appealing. I am
just not very motivated to buy any of their pieces. For their shoes it is 50/50. The ones I would consider are priced to high
and the heal high on the other shoes is ridiculous. I have already cancelled my VIP membership, so this might be my last purchase from the
site unless there are some changes. I am thinking about joining Just Fab. If I do, you will see either a video or blog post on the experience.
Now on to the review. As always the shoes came in study boxed. I have a problem with the box for my Avery
boots. The inner box is longer the then
outer box so it sticks out. But other
than that the shoes come wrapped in tissue paper and packaged nicely to
ensure little to no damage.
ELISHA from the Signature Collection
Elisha is a beautiful white bull nose shoe that has a bright
pink bottom that is an homage Louis Vuitton shoes with the same red bottom
design. The ankle strap is cute and adds
a little bit of security to the shoe. I
will note that the shoe is a tad on the small size around the toe area. I am going to have to purchase a shoe stretcher
to give my toes some room. Currently, I
can walk in the shoes for about 10 min before the tight fit become
uncomfortable. Overall I would give the
shoe 7 out of 10. Comfort is a big
deal to me.
Price breakdown VIP $39.95. - 30% summer sale = $27.97 - $10 VIP (no shipping charge) = $18.02.
AVERY BOOTS
Avery is a guilty pleasure.
When surfing Pinterest I noticed a lot of style pins featuring brown knee
length boots. So when I notice that I qualified for
a credit of $39.99 from shoedazzle, due to my 10 other purchases, I was excited. There were several boots to choose from, however Avery looked amazing on the site. Lucky for
me the day I purchased these boots Shoedazzle was giving its member a $10
credit to be used store wide. That meant
that instead of paying $45.95 for these boots I paid $2.95 (this included
shipping, remember I canceled my VIP membership). Not a bad deal. The shoe fits nicely with its a bull nose
tow. The boot color is slightly off from
the photo used on the web site. To me it
looks like fake leather. Not quite pleather
but close enough. While I know it isn't leather,
I don’t what everyone else to know it either.
The shaft of the shoe is bigger so it tends to slough some. I am hoping that it will be corrected when
worn over some skinny jeans. Overall I would give
these boots 8 out of 10.
That's it for me. So until next time
Ciao,
