Not long ago I received my first VoxBox from influenster. Influenster is a website that allows consumers
who are active in the world of social media to rate and review various products,
services, and places. The site sends out
various VoxBox's for free to its members based on their interest and area
influence to review the product on their social media sites.
I am not a stranger to Kiss products, because I have
purchased several of their eyelashes. However,
I have not ventured into their artificial nail products for some time (I
remember buying their nail kits in Jr high and high school). Upon receiving
this box I was very excited to see if Kiss‘s nail kits have evolved over the
years. The box I was sent contained 28 short
style French manicure nails and a 2ml pink gel glue. I will note that the artificial nails varied
in size but for someone with wide for bigger fingers the selection for accurate
placement is limited.
Application of artificial nails:
Natural Nails Before application
Removed old polish with acetone polish remover. Lightly filed nails surface
Nails washed and dry. I pre-selected nail and filed to fit where needed
Applied gel glue to center of artificial nail
Applied a thin layer to natural nail surface
Applied nail to surface and lightly applied pressure.
Bend tab down to break from nail
AFTER
The manufactures do not recommend wearing the nails beyond 7
days and have it stated several places on the box and in the enclosed
instruction sheet.

Overall, if you are looking for an inexpensive version of salon
nails or you need temporarily nail for a short stent of time these nails will
do the job. While, I have not taken them
off yet the instructions request you not pick or pry the nails off but instead
soak them in acetone polish remover. During
the application process I noticed or rather made two mistakes. First on the middle finger of my left hand I
had to apply a larger nail and file the sides down. Although, it doesn't look bad or out of place
to the casual observer anyone who is picky about details will notice that
larger nail (Did you notice it in the photo’s above? It could just be me). Secondly there are small air bubbles in my
thumb nails. Despite the fact that it is
not obvious to the casual observer, it is there. I was easy to prevent this from happening to
the other nails by applying more glue in the center and by not pressing hard
when I was working on them.
As I am writing this blog I can say I like the look and feel of the nails. If they can last the 7 days time span then I would definitely purchase this kit for when I want my nails to look amazing for special occasions or events. Have you tired Kiss nails and if so tell me what you think. Till next time.
Ciao,
Yolanda-Monique
