1st Haul of the Fall

I did a little beauty haul from CVS, Walgreens and Wal-Mart not to long ago and I wanted to show you some of the swatches in details.  Eye shadows were swatched with my finger and without a primer.   Here is the video tied to the haul where I give you the prices for everything.

And now on to the swatches.  Up first is Lips:

Milani Lipstick #15 Hot Pink Rage
This lipstick is a bright pink with a slight purple undertone.  Smooth on the lips. It is a bit bright for me and I have not gotten the courage to wear it yet.

Miliani Lipstick #26 Nude Creme
This is a pink based lipstick that I though would be a great nude lip.  A little to pink for me so I have to tone down with a brown liner.  Smooth on the lips and a great neutral lip color.

Wet n Wild #918D Cherry Bomb
I love this color and it is right in line with the fall trend of wine or berry lips.  It is deep, rich red / burgundy color.  A little dry on the lips so condition them before you use.

Jordana #09 Sweet Pink
Very moisturizing lip balm that stains the lip a soft pink. If you have very pigmented lips you will need several coats.

The Eyes:

Rimmel's Scandaleyes Shadow Stick Paranoid Purple & Tempting Turquoise
I love the color and they are very pigmented on the eyes.  Easy and smooth to apply to eye.  Works great as a eyeliner because it is water proof.

Wet N Wild: Idol Eyes Cream Shadow #135 Graphite
I am on the fence about this eye shadow.  It has creased on me when used but is amazing as a base.  I will have to see if it is my moisturizing sunblock that is causing it to crease.  But color good, very creamy  but hard to sharpen.  Not waterproof.

L'Oreal Infallible #335 Golden Emerald
I am already a big fan of the Infallibles eye shadows, so adding this one to my collection was a no brainier.  The color is very bright and gold flecks and can be sheered out.

L'Oreal Colour Riche Eye shadow: #559 What Happens in Vegas
This is the first time I have purchased / used this product.  From the swatches the color payoff is questionable on medium skin.  I will have to test it on the eye and with a primer to confirm longevity.

E.L.F. Essential Flawless Eye shadow #31320 Golden Goddess
This eye shadow pallet came in a 5 piece Beauty Must Haves from ELF.  The shadows are hit and miss when swatched.  Some are powdery  but pigmented (Base shadow) others are hard but have good color pay off (crease shadow) the Lid shadow had very little color payoff and was hard to swatch.  Line shadow was smooth but had little color payoff. I will have to see how it does with a primer.

Other Products from Haul:

  • E.L.F Beauty Must Haves:  The liquid eyeliner is ok quality.  There are better liquid eyeliners out there but they are going to cost you more then $1.  In this case you get what you pay for. Color is good, but staying power is the problem.  Product is also not waterproof.  I suggest you pay a little more and look at L'oreal, Wet n Wild, or Revlon.  The mascara is a total joke.  I tried it on my eyes and within 4 hours the bottle was in the trash.  No length, no volume just color.  My lashes drooped soon after using it.
  • Sinfulcolors Base Coat & Quick Dry:  I love this thing.   I is easy to apply dries in seconds and my polish has been lasting much longer then previous.  The Quick Dry is a questionable product.  While the polish dries quickly it leaves the polish soft to the touch.  It goes away 2-5 min later but I might as will let the polish dry on its own.
  • All Nail Polish:  So fare not duds in the bunch.  Love the colors.

That's it for me guys.  I hope you enjoyed and as always I wish you peace, love and Gods grace.

Ciao,
