I was looking for an artwork to put into my room, but I
wanted it to be beauty related. A lot of
posters that I found featured either Marilyn Monroe or Aubrey Hepburn. I found one that featured a beautiful brown
Aubrey Hepburn painted by Sugarluxe. Here is the link to her website:

. It is beautify but expensive, a 16 x
20 print is $85. It is on my list.
I was wondering who was an icon of beauty for an African American
woman. Several women came to find and
after doing a little searching, I came across 5 classic beauties. Yes I know that there are more than 5 but
these ladies are in my opinion the first ladies, the trail blazers who paved a
way for others like Beyoncé, Halle Berry, and Kerry Washington. So who are these 5 beautiful black icons?

I think that it is important to acknowledge beauty in all colors, races and ethnicity. However, It is also important to see the beauty in you and your culture. I wish that the american culture opens it's eyes to beauty in everyone. I think this will happen when we do it first.
