Milani Color Statement Lipsticks: I think I’m in love

I may be late to the lipstick game but I am a quick study.  I came across these gems after watching several YouTube videos.  I took the plunge and stopped by my local CVS to check out the brand and  purchase one or two lipsticks.  I am so glad that I did.  The brand recently added six new shades to the line bring it to a total of 36 lip colors with finishes ranging from:  Cream, Shimmer, Pearl, Vinyl, Metallic, Matte and combination.  While I currently own six shades I have been eyeing four of the berry shades now that spring and summer are just around the corner.

PROS:
  • -           Wide color selection (36 shades)
  • -          Large selection of finished
  • -          Economical $5.49 - $6.75
  • -          Pigmented & moisturizing (yes even the matte shades)

CONS
  • -          Limited access (not all stores carry the brand).  I can currently find it at most CVS and limited Walgreens and Walmart.  Not in my local Targets or grocery stores.
  • -          Little to no safety mechanism to ensure no one else tampered / tested your tube
  • -          Packaging is ok.  The gold tube is a little out dated.
On the whole Milani has some amazing lipsticks that have even been call dupes for a few high end brands.   I love the line and would recommend them to anyone who is new, returning or testing the waters when it comes to the game of lippies.   While I love the verities, not all shade fall within my comfort zone but that’s ok because what does not fit me could fit you.  The price point makes them a great option to try.   Here are some photos of my small collection.  I will tell you that my go to daily lippie is #26 Nude Creams and # 17 Plumrose.
