Rimmel London Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks

Looking for water resistant eye shadow that is long wearing and come in a variety of shades, than look no further.   I picked up three of Rimmels Scandaleyes shadow sticks to see what the hype was about and I have to say I like them.  The price was around $6 and can get them for a great deal if you use their coupons or catch a BOGO at Walgreens.  I have seen Rimmel shadow stick also in Walmart, Ulta, Target & CVS.

The shadow sticks come in nine shades and I picked up three shades: 002 Bulletproof Beige, 006 Paranoid Purple, and 005 Tempting Turquoise.

I will be honest and tell you I use them more a primers or eyeliners then eye shadows.  The few time I did use them as eye shadow it was in combination with a powder eye shadow to get a look I was going for.   They are creamy on the eyes and easy to apply.  When spreading the shade over the eyelid I have used both my finger and any eye shadow brush.  I did notice that when you spared the shadow the color intensity is lessened.  So to keep the vibrant shade you will need to apply all over the area you want it to be and then smooth with a brush or finger.

I did not notice creasing until the 7-8 hour of use, which is pretty good considering I have oily eyelids and I have not use an eye shadow primer when using this product.  I am sure that with a good eye shadow primer the creasing would not be a problem.   The only problem I have with them shadow sticks is sharpening them.  If you don’t have a jumbo pencil sharpener you are in trouble.  Luckily I have one but they don’t sharpen completely smooth.   This is one of the few products Rimmel make that I can give a thumb up to.  The brand is not known for producing a verity of shades or displaying their full product lineup.

Let me know what you think of the Rimmel shadow stick and how you use them.   Till next time.
